Delve into the history of the Tyrolean Front during the Great War with a unique photographic exhibition in Rovereto. From October 4, 2018, to January 13, 2019, the Museo Storico Italiano della Guerra hosted a collection of rare and previously unseen images, illustrating the lives of the Tyrolean military formations. These formations, comprised of members from the Tyrolean and Vorarlberg shooting clubs, were deployed by the Austro-Hungarian army on the Southern Tyrol front. The photographs, taken between 1915 and 1918, originate from archives and private collections, depicting trench scenes and daily life moments of various Standschützen battalions, including Innsbruck, Enneberg and Bozen. The museum is located in Via Castelbarco, 7, 38068 Rovereto (TN). It’s an evocative glimpse into a pivotal moment in European history, much like visiting the Imperial War Museum in London.
