A Journey Through Verse and Harmony: Dante’s Comedy at the Lazzaretto in Verona

On Sunday, June 7, attendees are invited to embark on a unique journey where the evocative power of Dante Alighieri’s hendecasyllables merges with the sublime harmony of Bach’s compositions.

Alessandro Anderloni, with his compelling interpretation, will give voice to the Divine Comedy, guiding the audience through its otherworldly realms. Alongside him, Antonio Aiello’s violin will weave a musical dialogue, creating a soundscape that amplifies the emotions and reflections evoked by the immortal verses. This is not merely a reading, but an itinerant path, designed to fully immerse participants in the work.

The journey unfolds in three symbolic stages: the Inferno, represented at the entrance portal of the Lazzaretto, where the solemn third canto will resonate. The path then leads into the botanical labyrinth for the Purgatorio, with the emotion of the thirtieth canto, before reaching Paradiso, celebrated in the evocative Sanmicheli temple with the thirty-third canto. This encounter between two cultural giants, Dante and Bach, promises to be a moment of profound spiritual and artistic resonance.
