1 day. A unique journey at the wheel of a classic car.

A slow journey back in time aboard cars that have made history. Travelling along the Gardesana Occidentale on board a vintage car is certainly a unique experience: the coast between green and blue, the wind in your hair, the roar of the engine, the curious gaze of passers-by… a whirlwind of unforgettable emotions. Go as far as Limone sul Garda and visit this village with its colourful houses and alleyways climbing up the mountainside, walk to the overhanging cycle path and lose yourself in the feeling of walking on water. From Limone head up the Forra road, considered the eighth wonder of the world, to Tremosine to visit the Terrazza del Brivido (a platform suspended in the void above a drop of no less than 350 metres).

Day 2. The Vittoriale degli Italiani: the home of Gabriele D’Annunzio on Lake Garda.

Gardone Riviera, is the custodian of a treasure of enormous value: the home of the Vate. The Vittoriale degli Italiani is one of the most evocative places in the world, almost a city within a city, a verdant and scenic space created by the genius of the great writer Gabriele D’Annunzio. Let yourself be accompanied by a guide who will tell you about the poet’s extraordinary life and this unique place in the world, and lose yourself in history between the folds of time. A short walk from the Vittoriale you will also find the Heller Garden, a splendid 10,000 square metre park, which contains botanical species from all over the world, ponds, water features and numerous art installations of international renown.

Day 3. Brescia Italian Capital of Culture 2023

A few kilometres from Lake Garda we also have the beautiful city of Brescia, which deserves to be discovered for its historical, cultural and artistic riches. In fact, on 25 June 2011, UNESCO declared Brescia a World Heritage Site. It is not only an industrial and industrious city active in many sectors (it is not by chance that it is the third largest industrial area in Italy); it is much more: it offers historical monuments of rare beauty that not everyone knows about, and in recent years it has begun to show its artistic and cultural side, which goes perfectly well with the modernity of its economic and technological character. In this 3-day tour of south-western Lake Garda we have given you just a few hints, but there is much more to visit. You will need to plan other long weekends to discover this area and please write to us if you need information or ideas.

We suggest as a starting point one of the towns between Sirmione, Desenzano, Manerba and San Felice del Benaco to choose where to sleep during your stay and in which restaurants to spend your evenings.

See you soon dear Outdoors!
